These days, there’s an app for just about everything, from job-specific apps, to entertainment apps and photo sharing apps. Even property search apps have gone mobile.

A recent Onavo study took a look at the property search app market, and uncovered the degree to which property search apps are used by US iPhone users. The study found that, during the second quarter of 2012, a significant 9% of US iPhone owners used real estate property search apps.

Onavo was also able to determine the top 12 most popular property search apps, according to actual usage. Zillow, Realtor.com, Craigslist Free, Trulia and RedFin topped the list of most used property search apps.

Other interesting insights our study uncovered include a breakdown of the apps with highest weekday and weekend engagement and apps most likely used as a second property search app.
