You’ve probably read this on TheNextWeb or Yahoo! News: our Android users just received a major push to help them save even more data on their device – you! Earlier this week we’ve introduced two new features to our Android version:
1. Crowd sourcing engine that provides insights into our community’s data usage patterns and behavior;
2. Badges that give you a quick visual indicator where you stand relative to your data plan
With the crowd sourcing aspect, we’re basically providing you now with even more insights and analytics into data usage, not only yours, but of our entire community! For each app on the App Watch screen you’ll be able to view the following details:
Your data usage compared to that of others in the community
How many users restricted the app to Wi-Fi
How many users uninstalled the app altogether
The Onavo meter, a simple visual gauge of just how much of a data hogger a given app is.
Our team has worked tirelessly over the past months transforming bits and bytes into actionable information any Android user can benefit from. And we’re only getting started…
